Is it Still Possible to Make Money Online?

Welcome to my inaugural blog.

Here’s a little bit about me. I’m 27 years old, married, living in a small community pretty much smack dab in the middle of North America. I’ve had the computer bug ever since I was 4 years old when my dad brought home our first computer. I remember the two of us spending hour after hour typing in a program, to do something basic on the screen. My how far we have come.

One of my other interests growing up was money. Not so much spending it, but I was very interested in Finances, Stocks and the economy. As I got older, i began to wonder about ways to combine both technology and money.

I would go to any seminars about finance, or money, or making money in my area. Some seminars, I was very impressed with, and met some great like minded people who were willing to exchange ideas and even become business partners. Other seminars were just filled with people who were only interested in selling whatever product they were peddling, and had no concept of marketing or future sales. They were only interested in the moment.

I am constantly looking at what people are doing online in attempts to make money. Some people have great success promoting products they have created, or others through affiliate channels. Some people just make a giant page full of Google AdSense links and banner ads, and then wonder why they aren’t making any money. Those are usually the people who are complaining that there is no money to be made on the Internet. The sites that actually have CONTENT are the ones that are doing just fine.

Some of the newest ways to make money are just in their infancy, such as myspace. I believe that Myspace has unlimited potential with millions of users, and thousands joining daily. That is where the big money will be made in the next while. I would love to hear some opinions on myspace marketing from others, do you think it will be as popular as I do?

I’m sure I’ll be speaking more about myspace in future posts.
